Floor mortar mainly has leveling, protective and decorative effects on the bottom floor and ground floor, and provides a solid and flat substrate for the floor. Floor mortar can be divided by purposes into screed mortar and surface mortar. Screed mortar mainly plays a role of leveling the ground, and should not contain lime ingredient in the mortar. It should have certain compressive strength and bond strength, with the former not less than 15MPa, and sometimes even have waterproof requirements. Surface mortar mainly has protective and decorative functions. In addition to the compressive strength not less than 15MPa, surface mortar also has wear resistance requirements, and sometimes waterproof requirements. In addition to the above requirements, surface mortar should be firmly bonded with the base material, without shelling or cracking itself.

The dry-mixed floor mortar can be divided by the form of product into ordinary dry-mixed floor mortar, self-leveling floor mortar and wear-resistant floor mortar. Ordinary dry-mixed floor mortar is mainly used for the screed-coat and common ground floor construction, with construction technology similar to traditional mortar. The acceptance criteria are no shelling, dense surface and no defects such as sugaring, honeycomb and cracks. Self-leveling mortar is mainly used for the ground leveling of indoor factories, parking lots and warehouses, and can also be used for indoor floor leveling. It can not only be used directly, but also can lay carpets, floors and other decorative layers on top. Self-leveling mortar has the following characteristics: pumpable, high construction efficiency, labor and time saving, reducing the errors of manual operations, fast hardening speed, standing people 8h after construction, available after 7h, good flatness, uniform color and no color difference of hardened ground. If the factory floor has high requirements for wear resistance, then hard, wear-resistant mortar should be selected. It mainly contains hard, wear-resistant aggregates, and gives the mortar surface layer good wear resistance.
