Application of  Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose

1. Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose Application in Textile and Printing & Dyeing Industries

In the textile industry,Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose can act as the sizing agent for the warp sizing of fabrics including cotton, gloria, chemical fiber and blend. The print paste of rayon fiber usually contains cleaning solvent with high boiling point, dye, water and enough thickening agents. Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose is the thickening agent as well as the emulsifying agent, so it helps to uniformly mix the dye with high boiling point cleaning solvent with as well as to stabilize the dye suspension and thus to prevent the occurrence of sedimentation and the formation of foam in storage. In addition, Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose can be used as the finishing agent of fabrics.

2. Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose Application of Paper-Making Industry

In the paper-making industry,Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose can be used as the smoothing agent and sizing agent. The addition of 0.1%-0.3% Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose into the pulp enables the paper to increase the tensile strength by 40%-50%, bursting resistance by 50% and flexibility by 4-5 times. It can replace casein to make the paper characteristics well-distributed and easy for the ink penetration during printing, as well as to make the edges sharp.  If the solution of metal salts such as ferrum and lead is spread on the paper processed with Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose aqueous solution, then Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose can make waterproof and grease-proof paper, as well as ion-exchange resin paper for special purposes.
